We invite you to discover the beauty and charm of the The Harbor House - a true oceanfront hideaway on Maui's leeward west coast that is very close to Lahaina town. There are 3 bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms, central air conditioning, a lap pool (extra charges for pool heating apply), a hot tub spa, a media room, and several different porches, patios, a tented cabana and abundant space for outdoor living.

It is difficult to convey the captivating ambiance of this elegant beach house until you are here. Lahaina Harbor House sits directly on the ocean behind a gated entrance and it faces directly towards the setting sun. From there you can look out across Lahaina Harbor towards the picture-perfect off-shore islands of Lana'i and Molokai'. The views and ambiance are perfectly paired to the spectacular setting. The panoramic direct ocean, sunset, moonset, and whale watching (seasonal) perspective from this house is simply stunning and truly exceptional. Lahaina Harbor House has a magical feeling about it, particularly at twilight and into the evenings, when the sky is illuminated first by crimson and scarlet sunsets, and then by an indigo sky punctuated with sparkling stars. Later in the evening, moonbeams dance on the glassy water surface.

In front of this home is a shallow lagoon - formed by an ancient reef that is just off-shore. Small waves cascade over the reef and flow into the lagoon where they dance against a sea wall that defines the end of the property. Boats anchored off-shore in front of the house bob up and down with each wave, and they serve to create some interesting perspective. Day and night there is a hypnotic rythym to the ocean sounds that are clearly audible even from inside the Harbor House. You can enter the shallow lagoon directly from the house - there is an opening in the sea wall that provides easy access to kayak, snorkel, paddle board, or to ride off to several nearby surfing breaks. Lahaina Town is a short walk away, and the expansive and romantic Ka'anapali Beach is just three miles down the road.

With Lahaina Harbor House s exceptional beauty and distinctive qualities you will find a casually elegant living environment in which to relax and renew your spirit. The decor of this newer home successfully blends Asian, tropical and contemporary themes for a classic island feel.

The great room has an open floor plan that is visually enlarged by the use of wide-plank tropical hardwood floors, high-ceilings and walls of glass sliding doors that showcase the Pacific Ocean from nearly every room in the house.

There are three bedrooms and two bonus spaces upstairs. One is a lounge room located in the center at the top of the stairs with a down-filled sofa, 32 inch Sony flat panel television with digital cable box, CD/DVD player, and Printer/Fax. The other bonus space is an expansive covered ocean view porch with dining and lounging furniture. There is space for everyone to find their "Own Private Paradise".

Outdoors in the oceanfront garden is a captivating space that is landscaped to perfection. There is a small grass lawn between the house and the sea wall. The outdoor living spaces provide a pool, hot-tub spa, a tented cabana with lounge chairs and coffee table (for morning coffee!), a large teak slab dining table set, and plenty of chaise lounge chairs for sunning. There is an outdoor shower and a large stainless steel BBQ grill. Recently, motorized solar screens were installed along the outer edge of the deck that extends out from the living room, so it is possible to lounge in the fresh air but with sun protection. Another row of screens drop down from the living room ceiling and they help to conceal the indoor living spaces and to provide an extra layer of protection from the afternoon sun.

Off the living room is a Family/Media Room with pocket doors that can be closed for additional privacy. This space serves as a fourth bedroom if needed. There is a built-in entertainment center with a flat-screen 42" high-definition television with surround sound, digital HD cable, and CD/DVD player. Also provided are an assortment of board games, a small game table, and a small library of books. There are two full-sized day-beds in this room that are great napping, or it can be used as an additional bedroom.

The very pretty kitchen has a convenient butler's pantry, granite counters, stainless steel Thermador gas range/oven with griddle, Kitchen-Aid oversized refrigerator with freezer drawer and icemaker, dishwasher, marble pastry slab for pizza and pastries, coffee maker and grinder, and small flat-panel television. There is also an island in the kitchen with a woodblock counter with vegetable sink, built-in beverage refrigerator, and breakfast bar with two barstools.

The master bedroom is a very warm and comfortable space with plush carpet, heavy black-out drapes, sheer sun shades, and full panoramic oceanfront views. This room is elegantly appointed with a wood four-poster King bed complete with fine linens and bedding, sitting chairs, and a 32 inch flat screen television with cable and a CD/DVD player. Floor-to-ceiling glass doors slide open to the covered ocean view porch. The master bath has a claw-foot soaking tub, a walk-in shower, dual vanities with vessel sinks, hair dryers, and a make-up mirror.

On the same level as the master are two other bedrooms, one with a king bed, oceanfront view and access to the porch, and the other with two full-size beds.

Conveniently located in the middle of the West Maui, the entire coastline from Lahaina to Ka`anapali and Kapalua becomes an ideal playground. You are just a short drive away from some of your favorite activities; whether its spending the day at one of several award-wining beaches, shopping at Whaler's Village or in the quaint town of Lahaina, or experiencing some of the most exquisite cuisine of the Pacific Rim. Leave your car at home and walk to the excellent shops, restaurants, and activities of Front Street in downtown Lahaina - just a few blocks away. Once the whaling capital of the world, historic Lahaina has become one of Maui's most popular attractions. Every Friday is "Aloha Friday" in Lahaina, with galleries hosting open house events, and live entertainment in the numerous bars and restaurants. Stroll the streets and take in all of the unique island experiences around you.

Usually some beach chairs and towels are provided. Guests often misplace beach towels and chairs therefore an exact inventory is not guaranteed unless reserving a luxury class home. Some homes also provide iPod docks, high speed internet access, wireless networks, fax machine, espresso/cappuccino machine, exercise equipment and other upscale toys. Remove your shoes upon entering your home, as Hawaii's volcanic soil can stain carpets, tile, and fabrics. Step outside to smoke please. No pets on property. Rinse off sand and sun lotions before walking on interior floors sitting on furniture. Sun products will stain upholstery and linens and may damage furnishings. Weddings, receptions, and gatherings are strictly prohibited on any of our properties, due to residential zoning codes which discourage non-residential use, boisterous use causing noise complaints, excessive occupancy causing parking problems in the neighborhood, or any use involving additional non registered guests on the property. Please inquire in advance if you will have other friends or family staying elsewhere on island if you plan to gather at your vacation home as one group. Neighborhood quiet hours are 8pm - 8am.
Cancellation Policy
REFUND & CANCELLATIONS: GUEST UNDERSTANDS AND ACKNOWLEDGES THAT THE INITIAL PAYMENT BY GUEST IS NON-REFUNDABLE, UNLESS THE PROPERTY IS DAMAGED BY A CAUSE OTHER THAN GUEST NEGLIGENCE, OR IF THE PROPERTY IS OTHERWISE RENDERED UNFIT FOR HABITATION AND NO ACCEPTABLE SUBSTITUTE PROPERTY CAN BE ARRANGED. IF GUEST CANCELS THIS RESERVATION, A REFUND OF GUEST'S INITIAL PAYMENT MAY BE MADE, LESS A PRE-DISCLOSED CANCELLATION CHARGE, BASED ON THE GROSS RENTAL AMOUNT AND TAXES ORIGINALLY DUE FOR THE RESERVATION, IF THE ACCOMMODATION IS RE-RESERVED BY ANOTHER PARTY FOR THE SAME DATES AND AT THE SAME RATE. GUEST UNDERSTANDS AND ACKNOWLEDGES THAT OWNER/AGENT/PROPERTY MANAGER HAS NO OBLIGATION TO RE-RESERVE UPON GUEST'S CANCELLATION, ALTHOUGH REASONABLE EFFORTS MAY BE EXPECTED. LODGING CANCELLATION COVERAGE IS AVAILABLE FROM INDEPENDENT PROVIDERS AND IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. THIS RESERVATION MAY BE CANCELLED BY THE OWNER/AGENT/PROPERTY MANAGER, IN THE EVENT THE PROPERTY IS WITHDRAWN FROM A RENTAL PROGRAM AND IN THAT EVENT, THEIR LIABILITY TO THE GUEST IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT OF RENTAL MONIES PAID TO DATE ON THE ACCOUNT, AND SPECIFICALLY DOES NOT COVER THE COST OF AIR TICKETS AND OTHER TRAVEL COSTS.
